Thousands of BTS fans gathered in Goyang, South Korea, for the 2025 BTS Festa, celebrating the group’s 12th anniversary. The two-day event started on June 13 at Kintex Exhibition Center II and attracted visitors from around the world.
Fans started lining up early in the morning. By the afternoon, the line stretched almost a kilometer. Many fans waited two to five hours just to get inside. “It was tough to get in, but the Festa is great,” said Shaina, a fan from Canada.
The BTS Festa has become a yearly tradition for BTS and their fans, known as ARMY, with special celebrations every June. This year’s event was open to everyone from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. without needing a reservation. To help international visitors, staff spoke English, Japanese, and Chinese. Guides and event materials were available in multiple languages.
Inside, fans enjoyed interactive exhibits, photo zones, and hourly light shows using official “Army Bomb” light sticks. Popular spots included the “Voice Zone” with recorded messages from BTS members, and the “Spotify Playlist Zone” where fans could discover BTS’s favorite songs.
Other attractions featured BTS’s personal items, DIY activities, games, and a display of the group’s major awards. “I loved the Coloring Wall where we could write messages to BTS,” said Kyla from New York. “The whole event felt very special.”
A special shuttle bus helped fans travel between the venue and the nearby Goyang Sports Complex, where J-Hope’s solo concert took place the same day.
With BTS members returning from military service, the 2025 BTS Festa carried extra meaning for many fans. For some, this was their first Festa, while for others, it was a long-awaited reunion with their favorite group.
