Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S25 FE, a budget-friendly phone that promises premium features.
As excitement builds for its release later this year, reports suggest that Samsung might equip the device with a more powerful chipset than expected.
Exynos 2400e vs. Dimensity 9400
Previously, it was believed that the Galaxy S25 FE would feature Samsung’s own Exynos 2400e chipset. However, a new report claims that if supply issues arise, Samsung could switch to MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset instead.
The Dimensity 9400, built on a 3nm process, is a more powerful option and could offer a significant boost in performance.
The main reason for this potential switch is the limited supply of Exynos 2400e chips. If Samsung struggles to meet production demands, the Dimensity 9400 would step in as a backup.
While MediaTek’s chipset is slightly more expensive, it could enhance the performance of the Galaxy S25 FE without raising the device’s price.
Maintaining Affordability
Samsung’s focus remains on offering the Galaxy S25 FE as an affordable option. If the Dimensity 9400 is used, the price will not increase, as Samsung wants to maintain its reputation for delivering great value at a lower cost.
Even with the potential switch to MediaTek’s chipset, the Galaxy S25 FE will likely stay within the budget-friendly range that has generated so much interest.
