HYBE Eyes Mumbai Office, Sparks Hopes for BTS Concert in India

Fans of BTS are excited as news breaks that HYBE, the agency behind the global K-pop giants, is planning to open an office in Mumbai.

This move, ahead of BTS’ highly anticipated reunion in June, has fueled rumors that India may be included in the band’s 2026 world tour.

HYBE, known for managing groups like BTS, TXT, Seventeen, and Le Sserafim, is expanding its presence internationally. It currently has offices in South Korea, the US, Japan, and Latin America, and now, India could be next.

With India’s booming entertainment industry and growing demand for global music acts, a Mumbai office would mark a major step for HYBE in reaching the Indian market.

The Indian live event industry saw a revenue of Rs 101 billion in 2024, and it is projected to grow significantly in the coming years, making it an attractive destination for international music tours.

HYBE’s move to open a Mumbai office could pave the way for large-scale K-pop concerts, moving beyond the smaller events seen in India so far.

Although the plans are still in the works, a representative from HYBE stated that they are conducting ongoing market research in various regions. The potential growth in live event entertainment, projected to hit Rs 167 billion by 2027, makes India a promising market for K-pop.

For BTS fans in India, this news brings hope that the group’s reunion tour could include a stop in their country. “Hearing BTS and India alone gives me immense happiness,” one fan posted on social media.

Many are eagerly speculating about the possibility of BTS and other groups under HYBE’s umbrella, like Seventeen, visiting India soon.

While K-pop’s popularity has surged globally, India has had only a few major concerts from groups like EXO and GOT7, due to past challenges like infrastructure limitations and lower album sales.

However, with these barriers slowly being overcome, more Korean artists, including Suho (EXO) and Jackson Wang, have recently performed in India to great success.

If HYBE’s Mumbai office becomes a reality, it would also open the door for other K-pop groups under its subsidiaries, including NewJeans and BOYNEXTDOOR, to perform in India. Fans can now look forward to the possibility of a full-scale K-pop concert scene in the country, led by the global success of BTS.

As the industry continues to evolve, all eyes are on HYBE’s next move and whether the long-awaited BTS concert in India will finally become a reality.
