Kim Soo-hyun is facing significant backlash after allegations surfaced about his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron.
Her aunt claimed in a YouTube video that they dated for six years, starting when she was 15 and he was 27, sparking accusations of underage dating.
Kim Sae-ron’s tragic death in February 2025, ruled a suicide, added to the controversy, with reports linking it to financial struggles, including a debt of 700 million won.
Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, denied the allegations, confirming the relationship began in 2019 when Kim Sae-ron was 19, legally an adult. They also rejected involvement in her financial disputes.
Despite this, intimate photos and claims of mishandling her DUI case have surfaced, deepening the scandal. Kim Soo-hyun has also faced criticism for not attending her funeral.
The controversy has led to calls for boycotts of Kim Soo-hyun’s endorsements, leaving his reputation and career in question.
