Users Considering Returns Amid As Galaxy S25 Overheating Issues Surface

Even before the Galaxy S25 series was officially released, rumors started circulating about possible overheating issues.

These concerns were mainly due to previous models using the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which had a history of getting hot. Now, with the Galaxy S25, it seems these fears were not unfounded.

Tipster Yogesh Brar reported that the Galaxy S25 series is indeed experiencing overheating problems. While the Galaxy S25 Ultra only gets mildly warm, the regular S25 model gets noticeably hot.

The new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip offers up to 40% faster performance compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the previous Galaxy S24, but such power upgrades often lead to heat issues.

Samsung had hoped that the larger vapor chamber in the S25 models would help, but it appears the new cooling system hasn’t solved the problem.

Despite being released only recently, many Galaxy S25 users are already voicing their concerns online. On Reddit, users complained about the phone heating up during regular activities, like browsing social media.

One user said the device became so hot that they could feel it through the case, while another described it as “roasting hot” even during basic tasks.

Some users have also noted that the phone becomes extremely hot while charging, which is raising further alarms. For example, one Reddit user shared that their S25 felt like it was “almost burning my hands.”

While not all users are reporting overheating, the issue seems significant enough to attract attention. It’s worth noting that some users mentioned it is normal for phones to get warm during setup, but those who have had their devices for several days still report persistent heating problems.

Samsung has yet to release an official statement, but with the growing number of complaints, an update addressing the overheating issue is likely to come soon. For now, some users are considering returning their phones if the problem isn’t fixed soon.
