WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows users to add sticker photos to their status updates, enhancing the way people share moments.
This update, discovered in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.25.3.10, is currently under development and will be available in a future release.
With this feature, users will be able to overlay sticker-like images onto their status updates, making their posts more dynamic and engaging.
Unlike the current method of posting separate status updates, this feature will enable multiple photos to be shared within a single status using a new content sticker.
Additionally, users will also be able to add sticker photos over videos, further increasing the possibilities for creative expression.
The sticker photos will be resizable and movable, allowing users to position and scale them freely. WhatsApp is also expected to introduce different shapes for these stickers, including square, circular, and star-shaped formats, offering more customization options. This update brings WhatsApp’s status feature closer to Instagram Stories, where users can layer stickers and images creatively.
While this feature is still in development and not yet available for beta testers, its discovery in the latest update suggests that WhatsApp is actively working on enhancing status updates.
More details will be shared as they become available, so users eager to try out this feature should keep an eye out for future updates.
