Microsoft is integrating its Copilot AI into Paint, adding a new button that consolidates AI-powered image generation and editing tools.

Windows Insiders in the Canary and Dev channels will soon see this update.

What’s Changing?

Clicking the new Copilot button in Paint will open a dropdown menu featuring:

  • Cocreator (DALL-E-based image generation)
  • Image Creator
  • Generative Erase

This move aligns with Microsoft’s broader strategy of embedding Copilot everywhere—from keyboards to the taskbar.

AI Search Also Gets an Upgrade

Alongside the Paint update, Windows 11 Insiders will get an improved AI-powered search.

Previously limited to local files, search now includes cloud photos, making it easier to find images using natural language.

Both updates are rolling out to Windows 11 Insiders in Dev and Beta channels.

Would you use AI in Paint, or is it overkill?
