A dedicated GTA fan has taken on an ambitious project—recreating the GTA 6 map inside GTA 5—and it’s already making waves in the gaming community.
YouTuber Dark Space has been steadily building Vice Beach—a key area in GTA 6—inside GTA 5. The project has gained traction on social media, with fans praising the effort.
“Great work KING. Absolutely legendary work,” one user commented, while another said the project was a “nice refresher” from all the speculation surrounding GTA 6.
Despite the excitement, there’s a looming concern: Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, has a history of shutting down fan projects.
Dark Space acknowledges the risk, telling IGN that they’re “always worried” but believe their work is different from other mods.
“This is just me making my own fan-made map myself, all within GTA 5,” they explained. Unlike past projects that ported entire games, this version uses only GTA 5 assets.
For now, the GTA 6-inspired map remains online, and Dark Space is even considering expanding it further. But with Take-Two’s strict policies, it’s unclear how long this project will survive.
