Apple is expected to refresh its entire Apple Watch lineup in 2025, including the Apple Watch SE, Series 11, and Ultra 3, according to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg.
The new Apple Watch SE will reportedly feature a “new look.” While specific details remain unclear, it may adopt a design closer to the Apple Watch Series 7 or introduce a completely new style. Gurman has previously speculated about a plastic body for the SE, which could bring fun color options.
Apple introduced the first Apple Watch SE in 2020, using the design of the Series 4. This new version is expected to modernize the SE line while maintaining its budget-friendly appeal.
The higher-end models, Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3, are not expected to feature major design changes but will bring exciting new features:
Satellite Connectivity and 5G RedCap: The Ultra 3 will include advanced connectivity options for better performance in remote areas.
Blood Pressure Monitoring: Both Series 11 and Ultra 3 will feature a blood pressure detector that alerts users to potential hypertension without providing specific readings.
AI Coaching and Health App Updates: Apple is working on a new AI coaching service and an updated health app, though the release timeline remains uncertain.
These updates highlight Apple’s ongoing focus on health features. Blood pressure monitoring, originally planned for the Series 10, faced delays due to design challenges but is expected to debut this year.
Additionally, Apple is rumored to launch AirPods with heart rate monitoring, complementing the new Apple Watch features.
If these rumors are accurate, Apple will refresh its entire Apple Watch lineup for the first time since 2022. This includes updates to the SE, Series 11, and Ultra 3, providing options for every type of user.
