At CES 2025, HP unveiled the Z2 Mini G1a, a compact workstation designed for professionals requiring powerful performance in a small form factor.
This Mini PC is perfect for demanding tasks like AI workloads, 3D design, and rendering, offering a balance of performance and portability.
The Z2 Mini G1a is powered by AMD Ryzen AI MAX PRO processors, available in 6-core/12-thread to 16-core/32-thread configurations.
It supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory with a unified memory architecture, allowing up to 96GB of RAM to be allocated directly to the GPU.
The workstation is equipped with AMD Radeon 8060S, 8050S, or 8040S graphics, making it ideal for AI-enhanced tasks and graphics-heavy projects.
Storage options are highly customizable, with up to 8TB of dual NVMe modules and expansion slots for additional PCIe SSDs.
For connectivity, the Z2 Mini G1a includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A, USB-C, a 2.5GbE LAN port, and options for 10GbE network cards.
Despite its compact size (measuring 3.4 x 6.6 x 7.9 inches and weighing just over 5 pounds), the Z2 Mini G1a supports up to four simultaneous 4K displays, making it perfect for multi-display work environments.
The Mini PC is also sustainable, using 20% recycled steel, 60% recycled plastics, and a 100% sustainable outer box design.
Pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro, the Z2 Mini G1a also includes HP Wolf Security and HP Sure Start for added security.
With a 300W internal power supply achieving up to 92% power output, it promises both efficiency and performance. The Z2 Mini G1a is expected to be available in spring 2025, with pricing details to be announced.
