The latest STALKER 2 update, Patch 1.1.3, is now live on PC, bringing fixes for shader compilation crashes and other minor issues. This update is the final patch of 2024 and focuses on stability improvements.
Weighing around 7.4 GB, the patch introduces a temporary solution to avoid crashes during shader compilation by skipping shader warm-up.
It also addresses access violation error crashes, fixes the invert axis option not saving after a restart, and resolves a bug where controls could be lost after shooting, reloading, and examining an artifact.
This patch is smaller in scope compared to the previous 1.1 update, which fixed over 1,800 issues and brought significant performance improvements, especially for RTX 3000 series cards with AMD frame generation.
However, the new update shows GSC World is committed to refining the game further.
STALKER 2 is available now on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Fans can look forward to continued improvements as the game evolves in 2025.
