In a recent appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Wiz Khalifa shared his thoughts on the ongoing beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

While some fans view the feud as part of the entertainment spectacle, Wiz believes the animosity is genuine.

“Nah, I don’t think them ****** **** with each other at all,” Wiz stated. “It’s just how the industry is, and all of that’s coming to an end now, and it’s all spilling out and you’re getting to see it.”

Wiz also compared the beef to professional wrestling, explaining that rivalries in the entertainment industry often shift quickly.

“The same people who are arguing can be cool instantly. So it’s like, don’t get too caught up on the animosity part — not them, but in general, people will be hugging later.”

Regarding the legal action taken by Drake’s team against Universal Music Group for promoting Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us,” Wiz commented, “It sounds like a Drake move to me.”

He continued, “He’s a musician and businessman, so if he’s not in the public eye winning musically, he’s gonna get a win wherever he can. I mean, it’s a smart thing to do.”

Wiz concluded by acknowledging that both artists are playing the game “exactly how they’re supposed to,” showing his understanding of the dynamics at play.
