Grand Theft Auto 6 To Feature Grounded Protagonists, Wild NPCs Unlike GTA 5

The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 gives fans a glimpse into the world of Vice City, but with a twist.

Unlike GTA 5, which focused heavily on its wild protagonists, GTA 6 seems to be shifting towards more grounded main characters while letting the chaotic NPCs take centre stage.

In GTA 5, characters like Trevor Phillips, Michael De Santa, and Franklin Clinton were known for their extreme personalities and unpredictable actions.

Trevor, in particular, was a psychopathic character who fueled many of the game’s explosive events. But in GTA 6, protagonists Jason and Lucia appear to be more realistic, driven by emotions rather than chaos.

The trailer highlighted Lucia’s time in prison and her relationship with Jason. Fans are eager to learn more about Jason, as his character remains a mystery.

These grounded characters may lead a more emotional story compared to GTA 5’s eccentric and reckless trio.

GTA 6 will still deliver on the franchise’s signature wild energy, but it seems Rockstar is focusing on Vice City’s unpredictable NPCs.

Set in a location inspired by Miami and Florida, the game’s NPCs seem to be taking inspiration from viral “Florida man” moments.

This promises to bring chaotic, funny, and sometimes disturbing moments to the world of GTA 6, while the main protagonists remain more grounded.

Rockstar seems to be blending the best of both worlds, with the story staying emotional and believable while the side characters add the wild edge GTA is known for.
