Min Hee-jin Talks About Her Distress and Legal Disputes with HYBE

Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of Ador, made her first public appearance since resigning from the company. She shared her thoughts on the ongoing legal disputes with HYBE and its sublabel, Ador.

Min attended the “Women Who Became Genres” talk concert hosted by Hanwha General Insurance and Folin at DreamPlus Gangnam in Seoul on Friday. During the one-hour session, Min opened up about her challenges.

“Living true to one’s convictions isn’t easy, and I face constant attacks,” Min said. “It’s exhausting to respond to false accusations all the time. You have to endure injustice and prove yourself through results and genuine actions. Words are meaningless if they’re not backed up. Ultimately, your work speaks for you, and that’s why it’s so valuable.”

Last month, on Nov. 20, Min stepped down as an executive director at Ador and left HYBE. After her resignation, Min announced plans to take legal action against those linked to HYBE and Ador. She is currently involved in several lawsuits as the disputes continue.

“It feels like a religious war. Even when you tell the truth, people don’t believe it. I can confidently say I’m suffering more than anyone here. People only believe what they want to believe,” Min said.

“Personally, I hope the lawsuits conclude quickly and that everything is resolved. But time doesn’t move at my will.”

She described her situation as “unbearably distressing” but vowed to endure it. “I have to keep reminding myself of the essence of why I started this fight and what I need to accomplish in the future,” she added.

Meanwhile, amid the legal battle, NewJeans, a K-pop girl group under Ador, announced the termination of their exclusive contract with the agency on Nov. 28.

The group publicly declared their support for Min. In response, Ador filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the existing contract.

Min has denied the allegations of being the “orchestrator” in the termination of NewJeans’ exclusive contract with Ador.
