Samsung Gauss2

Samsung has announced Gauss2, its latest artificial intelligence system, one year after launching the original Gauss. The new system comes in three versions called Compact, Balanced, and Supreme.

The Compact model is designed to run directly on devices, while Balanced offers a mix of good speed and performance. Supreme is the most advanced, using multiple expert systems to handle different types of tasks.

Gauss2 works with 9 to 14 human languages and several programming languages. Samsung claims the Balanced and Supreme models match or beat other AI systems when working in English and Korean, while operating 1.5 to 3 times faster.

Samsung is already putting Gauss AI to work within the company. Most notably, 60% of Samsung’s developers now use it for coding.

The company also uses it in call centers to summarize conversations, and employees can interact with it through the Samsung Gauss Portal.

The company plans to expand this AI technology across all its products to make them more useful and personalized for customers.
