Google Gemini Introduces Memory Feature for Personalization

59
Google Gemini

Google Gemini can now remember details about users to offer more personalized responses. This feature, part of the Gemini Advanced subscription, allows the AI to store and use information about your interests, work, hobbies, or preferences.

Users can manage this data through a “Saved Info” page, where they can add, edit, or delete details. For example, you can tell Gemini to suggest vegetarian recipes or take your profession into account when responding.

The AI also informs users when it incorporates saved information into its replies. Currently available only in English, this feature is part of Google’s AI Premium subscription through Google One.

Gemini’s memory capability mirrors a similar function introduced by OpenAI’s ChatGPT Plus in April, which lets the chatbot remember user-specific details like favorite foods or pet preferences.

This move highlights the growing focus on creating more tailored and user-friendly AI experiences.
