PS5 Pro Faces Widespread Game Performance Issues

Sony’s new PlayStation 5 Pro console is experiencing significant performance problems across multiple high-profile game titles, with no official response from the company or game developers.

Games like Silent Hill 2, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Spider-Man 2, Stellar Blade, and Alan Wake 2 have been reported to have graphical issues.

Players are experiencing problems such as shimmering effects, aliasing, and image quality downgrades, particularly with ray tracing and graphical interactions.

The Silent Hill 2 remake has drawn particular criticism, with fans expressing frustration over distracting visual glitches. Digital Foundry highlighted severe image quality problems in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, noting significant issues when foliage interacts with ray tracing.

The primary source of gamer frustration is the lack of communication from Sony, developers, and publishers about these performance issues. The silence is reminiscent of problematic game launches like Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man’s Sky, though players hope these problems will be resolved through future patches.
