YG Entertainment has confirmed that Blackpink, Treasure, and Babymonster will all return with new music this year. The announcement came from Yang Hyun-suk, the founder of YG, in a video shared on the company’s official YouTube channel on May 25.
Blackpink will release a new song soon, although no exact date has been announced yet. The release will be the group’s first music since “The Girls” in 2023. The comeback will happen ahead of their world tour, which begins July 5, 2025, in Seoul and ends in January 2026 in Japan.
Babymonster will release a new single titled “Hot Sauce” on July 1. The track will serve as a pre-release for their mini album, which is scheduled to drop in October. Yang described “Hot Sauce” as inspired by late 1980s rap music. Another single from the group is expected in September.
Treasure, the 10-member boy group, is planning to release a new EP on September 1, although the date is still tentative. The group will also go on a world tour starting in October. Yang said Treasure will aim to release two mini albums or one full album each year moving forward.
New Groups Coming in 2025 and 2026
Yang also shared YG’s plans to debut two new groups soon:
- A new boy group is set to debut in 2026, chosen from two teams of male trainees aged 15 to 18.
- A new four-member girl group has already been finalized. The first member will be revealed on May 28 at midnight KST.
He added that the company is considering releasing solo tracks and music videos for the new girl group members as part of their debut process.
