Xiaomi has officially released the new HyperOS 2.2 update today, May 28, 2025. This is the biggest software upgrade from the company this year.

It brings better system performance, a redesigned camera app, and advanced AI features for millions of Xiaomi users.

All Xiaomi devices that support Android 15 will get the update, starting with the first wave rolling out today.

Better Speed and Stability

HyperOS 2.2 makes the system smoother and more stable. App switching animations are faster, and transitions feel more fluid. Xiaomi has focused on core system changes to improve how fast and reliable the phone feels.

Fresh New Look

The update also brings visual upgrades. New oriental-style lock screen themes, better wallpaper effects, and animated fingerprint unlock styles like butterfly and light wave are added. Users can now customize lock screen shortcuts and status bar icons too.

New Camera Interface

The camera app gets a complete redesign. It looks more professional and is easier to use. Users can now add watermarks, including custom ones. The Pro Mode is cleaner and less cluttered. The update also allows color theme changes for the camera interface, depending on the phone model.

Super Xiaoai Memory Feature

One of the biggest features is Super Xiaoai Memory. It lets users save personal details like ID numbers, addresses, and links using voice or text commands. It can also pull ID numbers from photos using smart screen recognition. This tool works only on select Xiaomi models with HyperAI and Super Xiaoai 7.4 or later.

Extra Features and Fixes

Other updates include better travel planning, smarter battery-saving tips, and improved notification settings. Navigation gestures are improved to avoid accidental AI wake-ups. Accessibility is better now, with TalkBack fixes and improved voice controls for various apps.

HyperOS 2.2 is a major update that improves speed, design, AI features, and camera experience for Xiaomi users. The rollout begins today, and users can check their settings to download it.
