Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra will debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, with March 2, 2025, as the targeted launch date.
This announcement comes directly from Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing, ensuring reliability. The event aligns with MWC’s schedule, which runs from March 3 to March 6, and follows the company’s tradition of unveiling flagship devices at this global tech exhibition.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the successor to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, is expected to be unveiled alongside the global version of the Xiaomi 15.
While the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro were launched in China in October 2024, the global rollout of the standard model is set to coincide with the Ultraโs debut. However, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is unlikely to be available internationally, continuing Xiaomi’s pattern of selective global releases.
Leaks suggest the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a reconfigured camera setup. The device may forgot the variable aperture on its 1-inch main camera, potentially making room for a 200 MP telephoto lens with a 5x zoom.
Additionally, Xiaomi could increase the battery capacity to 6,000 mAh, making it one of the largest in its class.
With its launch just around the corner, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is poised to be one of the most exciting smartphone releases of 2025, promising cutting-edge camera technology and flagship-level performance.
