Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, featuring a 200MP 100mm telephoto camera and the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The smartphone brings major upgrades in performance, camera technology, and battery capacity.
Performance and Display
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It offers storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB using UFS 4.1 technology.
The chipset provides up to 45% better performance and 52% lower power consumption compared to its predecessor.
The device sports a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3200×1440 pixels. It supports a 1-120Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 3,200 nits.
Camera System
The highlight of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is its Leica-tuned quad-camera setup. It includes:
- 50MP Sony LYT-900 main camera with a fixed f/1.63 aperture
- 70mm telephoto camera with a 50MP IMX858 sensor
- 14mm ultra-wide camera with a 50MP Samsung JN5 sensor
- 200MP Samsung HP9 telephoto camera with 100mm zoom and f/2.6 aperture
The front camera is 32MP with a 21mm lens. The phone supports 8K video recording at 30fps and 4K video recording up to 120fps on select cameras.
Battery and Build
The global version of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to have a 5,410mAh battery, while the Chinese model packs a 6,000mAh battery. It supports 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.
The smartphone comes in Black, White, and a special Silver Chrome Edition with aerospace-grade materials. The Silver Chrome model is slightly heavier and thicker than the others.
Software and Availability
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra runs Android 15 with HyperOS 2 on top. It includes AI-powered features like text polishing, transcription, and translation.
Xiaomi promises 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.
The phone is now available in China, with a global release expected soon. Prices start at approximately $895 for the base model and go up to $1,070 for the highest variant.
