The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, is set to join the brand’s premium lineup in early 2025. Ahead of its official announcement, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some exciting details about its camera setup, display, and overall performance.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will sport a 2K quad-curved display, maintaining a similar panel size to its predecessor. While the display isn’t drastically different, the real excitement lies in its enhanced camera system.
The phone will feature a 200 MP large-aperture periscope telephoto camera, marking a significant upgrade from the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s 50 MP telephoto sensors. This main telephoto lens will be paired with a 50 MP large-aperture secondary telephoto camera.
The main camera will also include a one-inch large-aperture sensor, likely the Sony LYT-900, similar to its predecessor. Additionally, a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor will handle ultra-wide shots.
Battery capacity is expected to remain similar to the previous model, with 140W charging support. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will also come with impressive IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, ensuring durability alongside its premium features.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to launch in China in early January 2025, with its global debut possibly coming at MWC 2025.
