Willcox Border Patrol Agent (Bart Conrad Yager) Arrested Amid Child Sex Trafficking and Fraud Investigation

A Border Patrol agent from Willcox, Arizona, Bart Conrad Yager, has been indicted on 24 felony charges including multiple counts of child sex trafficking, pandering, and fraud. The charges follow an extensive investigation by U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Office of Professional Responsibility that began in September 2023.

The probe initially focused on allegations that Yager misrepresented his work assignments and fraudulently claimed travel reimbursements while assigned to a migrant processing facility in Tucson.

Further investigation revealed he falsely reported being on duty at various locations while often remaining elsewhere, including at his home. During this process, disturbing evidence emerged that Yager paid a minor between 15 and 17 years old for sex acts, totaling over $12,000 with some payments reaching up to $1,800.

These incidents occurred between July 2023 and March 2024 in his home and hotels in Tucson. The minor had previously been a victim of sex trafficking, and her mother was also arrested on related charges.

Financial records showed Yager spent thousands of dollars on commercial sex acts with warnings leading to closure of some of his payment accounts due to suspicious transactions.

Additional allegations from records and reports suggest a pattern of alleged misconduct spanning over a decade, including inappropriate relationships with high school girls, promotion of drug use, a sexual assault investigation, and workplace sexual harassment claims.

Federal agents executed a search warrant at Yager’s home in Willcox on June 17, 2025, leading to his arrest. Yager, 39, remains in custody with a $250,000 bond and is due to appear in Cochise County Superior Court in August. The Cochise County Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case, and further charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

CBP emphasized its commitment to honor and integrity, stating the vast majority of its employees serve with distinction. The agency also stressed that the charges are allegations and that Yager is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
