Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf in Disney’s Frozen movies, shared an update on the highly anticipated Frozen 3.
The actor confirmed that he will return as the lovable snowman in the third movie. In fact, the story will be split into two films, with a fourth movie already in the works.
It has been almost three years since Frozen 3 was first announced, and over a year since production began. However, fans will have to wait until November 24, 2027, for the movie’s release.
In a recent interview, Gad explained why the movie is taking so long. He said that, like the six-year gap between the first two movies, the third film will take eight years to come out.
“There’s a reason the movie is coming out in 2027,” Gad said. “No one wants to rush this. We want this to be worthy of the story we started in 2013 with the first Frozen movie.”
He added that the team is working hard to make sure the movie lives up to fans’ high expectations. Gad also hinted that Disney has something incredible planned for the third movie.
Frozen 3 is set to hit theaters in 2027.
