WhatsApp is giving its Status feature a creative boost. Soon, users will be able to post collages, music stickers, and interactive photo tools, making it easier to express themselves in more engaging ways.
The Status feature, similar to Instagram and Facebook Stories, allows users to share text, photos, or videos that disappear after 24 hours.
Since March, users have been able to add music clips—15 seconds with photos or 60 seconds with videos—from the app’s music library. Now, these clips can also be turned into stickers or shared as standalone updates.
Another update is the new “Layout” feature, which lets users create and share collages of up to six photos in customizable formats.
WhatsApp is also adding the “Add Yours” sticker, encouraging others to respond to your Status with their own photos—adding a more social, interactive element.
Photos can now be turned into stickers as well. These stickers can be resized and reshaped before being posted to Status.
Meta says the features will roll out soon and will be more widely available in the coming months.
