Virginia Giuffre, who died earlier this year, alleges in her forthcoming memoir that she had sexual encounters with Prince Andrew when she was underage. The claims appear in Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, excerpts of which were published October 15 in The Guardian.

Giuffre recalled meeting Prince Andrew on March 10, 2001, at Ghislaine Maxwell’s London home. She says Maxwell and financier Jeffrey Epstein instructed her to have sex with the royal, who allegedly acted as if the encounters were his “birthright.”

She described the first encounter as lasting less than half an hour. Giuffre claimed Prince Andrew caressed her toes and licked her arches before moving to intercourse. She said he thanked her afterward in his “clipped British accent.”

The memoir also recounts a second alleged encounter at Epstein’s New York townhouse in April 2001. Giuffre said the prince was attentive but the interactions were brief.

The third alleged encounter took place on Epstein’s private island, Little Saint James, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Giuffre says she and eight other girls, many under 18, were involved in an “orgy,” which she describes in the book.

In 2022, Giuffre and Prince Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement over her sexual assault lawsuit. The agreement included a statement that Andrew would donate to Giuffre’s charity supporting victims’ rights but contained no admission of wrongdoing. Prince Andrew has denied the allegations.

The memoir, set for release on October 21, details Giuffre’s experiences with Epstein, Maxwell, and others, and her efforts to fight for justice for sexual abuse victims.
