Vice President J.D. Vance Says He’s “Obsessed” with UFOs

J.D. Vance

Vice President J.D. Vance has revealed a strong interest in UFOs. On the Ruthless Podcast released August 1, Vance said he is “obsessed” with unexplained flying objects and plans to look into strange aerial events during Congress’s August break.

“What’s actually going on? What were those videos all about?” he asked, referring to sightings like large drones flying over New Jersey in late 2024. He even joked about taking the podcast hosts to Area 51 if he finds anything important.

Though Vance kept a light tone, his curiosity seems real. He didn’t name any specific cases, but the New Jersey sightings—once investigated by federal officials—are likely on his list. The White House later said the drones were part of FAA-approved research, but many people still question what really happened.

As Vice President, Vance is part of the National Security Council. This gives him access to top-secret information, including possible data on UFOs, now officially called “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAPs).

However, looking into UFOs is not part of the Trump-Vance administration’s main goals, which focus on border control, energy, and public safety. Some online users think Vance may have bigger plans, like finding advanced technology. Others believe it’s just a personal interest.

Reactions have been mixed. Some people enjoy seeing a leader explore big questions, while others think it’s a distraction. Either way, Vance’s interest keeps the UFO debate in the spotlight.
