Twitch has confirmed an official partnership with Rockstar Games and publisher Take-Two Interactive to support the release of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), scheduled to launch on May 26, 2026.

Mike Minton, Twitch’s Chief Monetization Officer, announced that Twitch is dedicating internal teams to work directly with Rockstar and Take-Two. The goal is to ensure GTA 6 performs strongly on the platform from launch day and well beyond.

“This is the biggest game of our lives,” Minton said, highlighting the initial focus on the game’s single-player campaign. However, Twitch’s long-term strategy centers on GTA 6’s expected online multiplayer component—likely to be a major driver of content and community engagement on the platform.

Twitch plans to integrate special features into the streaming experience, including in-game drops, activations, and possibly official roleplay servers, building on what made GTA 5 a massive and long-lasting success in the streaming world.

The collaboration aims to boost visibility and engagement for GTA 6 across Twitch, using its tools for marketing, monetization, and creator support. It marks a significant investment in the future of gaming content on the platform.

GTA 6 is widely expected to dominate the gaming and streaming landscape upon release, with Twitch preparing to ensure it becomes a centerpiece of the platform for years to come.
