Trump Pulls Endorsement of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Calls Her “Ranting Lunatic”

President Donald Trump announced on November 14 that he is withdrawing his endorsement of Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, describing her as a “ranting lunatic.” He added that he would support “the right person” to challenge her in a Republican primary election.

The move follows months of growing tension between Trump and Greene. In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticized Greene for repeatedly complaining, noting that he advised her not to run for Senate or governor due to low polling numbers. He said he could not handle her daily calls given his numerous responsibilities.

Greene responded on X, accusing Trump of attacking her after she requested the release of files related to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. She shared messages urging Trump to disclose the documents and claimed his criticism aimed to intimidate other Republicans ahead of a vote on the files.

The congresswoman stressed that she has long supported Trump but does not “worship or serve” him. She cited her financial and personal contributions to his campaigns and expressed frustration over his handling of her political ambitions.

The feud comes amid several public disagreements. Greene opposed Trump’s meetings with Syrian interim president Amad al-Sharaa and criticized aspects of his “Big Beautiful Bill,” including AI regulations and foreign policy measures. She has also challenged Trump and other Republicans on domestic policy priorities, such as healthcare funding and American interests.

Trump concluded his post by promising to back an alternative candidate if someone decides to run against Greene in a primary election. Political analysts say the public break highlights growing divisions within the Republican Party.
