What Is Tourist Family About?
Set in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tourist Family follows a Sri Lankan Tamil family from Jaffna who are forced to migrate to India due to the deepening economic crisis in their home country.
Led by the father Dharmadas, the family arrives in India in search of stability, but the journey is anything but easy. Language barriers, joblessness, and cultural alienation greet them at every corner.
Despite the odds, the family begins to rebuild their life with resilience, humor, and the kindness of strangers. The story balances heartfelt drama and comedy, showing how unity and hope can help people adapt even in a foreign land.
