Tory Lanez has allegedly claimed that he took the blame for Kelsey Harris in the 2020 shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion. These claims were revealed in a recent podcast episode by media personality Jason Lee.
Jason Lee shared text messages he says are from Tory Lanez, where the rapper stated he was wrongly convicted and plans to “come home” this year. Lanez also reportedly said he was “102% excluded” from gun DNA evidence after requesting a retest.
“I took the rap for Kelsey,” Lanez allegedly wrote, adding that he never wanted her to go to jail or Megan to get hurt. He claimed he got the “raw deal” while trying to protect both women.
Lanez said he stayed silent and accepted a 10-year sentence, believing it was the right thing to do. He also criticized the media for portraying him as a symbol of the unprotection of Black women.
These alleged texts come days after Lanez was reportedly stabbed 14 times in prison. His team says he is recovering after injuries to his back, head, and lungs. The attacker, Santino Casio, is serving a life sentence for murder and other charges.
