Tony-Nominated Cast Stars in New Stranger Things Broadway Play

The highly anticipated Broadway production Stranger Things: The First Shadow has released its first official trailer, giving fans a glimpse of the show’s original cast and production scenes. The play is currently running at the Marquis Theatre in New York City.

This new stage adaptation is based on the popular Netflix series Stranger Things and is built on an original story by the show’s creators, the Duffer Brothers, alongside writers Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry. The play is written by Kate Trefry and directed by Stephen Daldry, with co-direction by Justin Martin.

Leading the cast are Louis McCartney, a 2024 Tony Award nominee, and Emmy nominee Gabrielle Neveah. The production has been a critical success, winning four Tony Awards, the most for any play in the 2024-2025 Broadway season.

Fans of the show can also look forward to the final season of Stranger Things, set to premiere on Netflix later this year. The new trailer for the series’ last season has just been released, building excitement for the conclusion of the story.
