The Witcher 4 Will Launch on Multiple Platforms, Says CDPR

CD Projekt Red (CDPR) has ruled out a PC-first release for The Witcher 4.

Charles Tremblay, CDPR’s vice president of technology, stated in an interview with Eurogamer that while the idea was discussed, it’s not part of their current strategy.

“We will not have a PC-only launch,” Tremblay confirmed, adding that the game will likely release on multiple platforms. However, it may not launch on every system simultaneously.

The decision contrasts with Baldur’s Gate 3, which had a PC-first launch, but ensures console players won’t be left waiting.

While The Witcher 4 is still in early development, CDPR’s approach aims to avoid past issues like those faced during the Cyberpunk 2077 launch.
