Clicks Phone with Keyboard

Clicks Technology, a company known for making physical keyboards for smartphones, is launching two new devices ahead of next week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The products include a new slide-out keyboard for $79 and the company’s first smartphone, called the Communicator, priced at $499.

The Communicator is designed for people who carry two phones — one for work and one for personal use. It focuses on messaging, email, and productivity rather than social media or games. Clicks partnered with Niagara Launcher to provide easy access to apps like Gmail, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Slack.

The phone’s key feature is the Signal Light, a customizable button on the side that lights up in different colors and patterns to alert users to messages from specific contacts or apps. The Prompt Key also allows quick voice notes or dictation, with potential AI features planned for the future.

The device includes a tactile, touch-sensitive keyboard that allows scrolling without using the touchscreen. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, physical SIM tray (with eSIM), expandable storage up to 2TB, and a tactile switch for airplane mode. The back cover is interchangeable and comes in Smoke, Clover (dark green), and Onyx.

Early-bird customers can pre-order the phone for $399 with a $199 deposit before February 27. Those who pay in full receive two extra back covers. The phone is expected to ship later this year.

Full Specs:

  • Android 16 with 5 years of security updates
  • 131.5 mm tall, 170 g weight
  • 5G, 4G LTE, 3G/2G, unlocked
  • 4,000 mAh battery
  • 256GB storage + microSD
  • 50MP rear camera, 24MP front camera
  • NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6
  • USB-C & wireless charging

Clicks also announced a $79 slide-out keyboard, compatible with smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and AR/VR headsets. It uses a built-in battery, magnetic attachment, and multiple positions for different device sizes. It will ship in spring.

Clicks CEO Adrian Li said the company has shipped over 100,000 keyboards to more than 100 countries. “There’s growing demand for purpose-built products that help people communicate with confidence. Clicks Communicator is a natural evolution of that idea,” he said.
