Netflix has officially teased ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5, releasing a poster featuring Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven and a trailer highlighting its 2025 slate.
Netflix released a promotional trailer titled “Next on Netflix 2025” with the tagline “You’re Not Ready.”
The first clip in the trailer comes from ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5, proving the platform is well aware of the hype surrounding the final season.
Alongside the trailer, Netflix posted a missing persons poster featuring Eleven (Jane Hopper), raising speculation about the plot.
Who is looking for Jane, and why? The show is set to release later in 2025, but no exact date has been announced yet.
At a Netflix event in Los Angeles, creators Matt and Ross Duffer revealed a behind-the-scenes look at Season 5.
Ross Duffer stated that the season took over a year to film, producing more than 650 hours of footage.
“It’s our biggest and most ambitious season yet. It’s like eight blockbuster movies. It’s pretty, pretty insane,” Ross said.
Matt Duffer described the filming process as an emotional journey, mentioning that when they wrapped, “There was a lot of crying.”
The cast and crew have spent nearly a decade working together, making this season particularly personal.
While Season 5 will be the final chapter of the main series, the Duffer Brothers hinted that this won’t be the end of the ‘Stranger Things’ universe.
A prequel stage play, ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow,’ is currently running in London’s West End. There’s speculation that it could eventually be adapted into a series.
Netflix has yet to confirm more spin-offs, but given the show’s popularity, fans can expect more stories from the Upside Down in the future. Stay tuned for updates on the official release date.
