Steven Ogg, the actor behind Trevor Phillips in Grand Theft Auto V, has finally addressed rumors that he dislikes the franchise and his iconic character.

While confirming that he won’t be involved in GTA 6, Ogg made it clear that he has no bad blood with Rockstar or the game itself.

Speaking on the Inside of You podcast with Michael Rosenbaum, Ogg dismissed the claim that he “hates” being called Trevor. He explained that being recognized by a character’s name instead of his own can feel strange, but that doesn’t mean he dislikes the role.

“Trevor is a great character, he’s awesome,” Ogg said, also noting that he still stays in touch with his GTA 5 co-stars, Shawn Fonteno (Franklin) and Ned Luke (Michael).

However, when asked if he’ll return for GTA 6, Ogg simply responded, “No.” He also admitted that he’s never been much of a gamer, even when starring in one of the biggest games of all time.

Meanwhile, GTA 6 remains one of the most anticipated releases of the year, with Rockstar yet to reveal an official launch date.

While Ogg won’t be returning, the game is still expected to make a massive impact when it finally drops.
