Squid Game Season 3 Teaser - Netflix

The new trailer for Squid Game Season 3 reveals that Gi-hun, the main character, will return to the player dorm and continue competing in the deadly games. However, it looks unlikely that he will be the one to stop the games for good.

Instead, clues suggest that Kang No-eul, a guard introduced in Season 2, may become the new hero. No-eul is a North Korean defector who joined the games as a guard to earn money to reunite with her daughter. She is the first guard shown to have compassion and a personal connection to the players.

The Season 3 trailer ends with the sound of a baby crying, hinting that Jun-hee, who was pregnant in Season 2, will give birth soon. This new baby could inspire No-eul to take action. Since No-eul deeply wants to reunite with her own daughter, seeing another mother and child in danger could motivate her to fight the Front Man and the game organizers from within.

Many fans hoped Gi-hun would infiltrate the games as a guard to fight back, but Season 2 showed he chose to become a player again. No-eul’s anonymity as a guard and her emotional connection to motherhood position her as a promising candidate to challenge the games in Season 3.

Squid Game Season 3 is highly anticipated and expected to explore new dynamics as No-eul’s story unfolds alongside Gi-hun’s.
