Squid Game Season 3 will have 6 episodes when it premieres on Netflix. All episodes will be released at once on Friday, June 27, 2025.

The third season serves as the final chapter of the popular South Korean survival thriller series. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk returns to write, direct, and executive produce the concluding installment.

What to Expect in Season 3

The new season picks up immediately where Season 2 ended. Gi-hun, also known as Player 456, finds himself at his lowest point but must continue playing the deadly games.

Despite his despair, Gi-hun and the other surviving players face even more dangerous challenges. The games will test everyone’s determination as they compete for the massive cash prize.

The season promises to deliver crucial decisions and intense moments as players navigate the lethal childhood games that have made the series famous.

Cast Returns

Lee Jung-jae returns as the lead character Gi-hun alongside Lee Byung-hun. Other returning cast members include Wi Ha-jun, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Roh Jae-won.

How to Watch

Squid Game Season 3 will stream exclusively on Netflix. The platform requires a subscription to access the episodes.

Netflix describes the series as following “hundreds of cash-strapped players” who “accept a strange invitation to compete in children’s games” where “a tempting prize awaits — with deadly high stakes.”

The dystopian thriller became Netflix’s most-watched series and sparked global interest in South Korean entertainment. Season 3 aims to provide a satisfying conclusion to the story that captivated audiences worldwide.
