    Spotify Wrapped

With Spotify Wrapped 2024 just around the corner, it’s time to take a look at the many platforms that have followed suit, offering users personalized year-in-review experiences.

Here’s a roundup of some of the best “copycats” out there:

Amazon Music – My Year in Review

Amazon Music’s equivalent of Spotify Wrapped is called “My Year in Review.” Unlike Spotify, Amazon doesn’t provide as many detailed insights or shareable statistics. Instead, users receive a playlist with 50-100 of the most popular tracks based on their yearly listening habits, available in the “Playlists” or “Made For You” section.

    Apple Music – Replay

Apple Music rolled out its “Replay” feature in 2019, offering a summary of your top songs, artists, albums, genres, playlists, and stations. Users can also see play counts and total time spent listening.

    Apple Music Replay

The experience includes a visual and audio recap of your most-listened-to tracks, and the option to share personalized listening data on social media. Apple also offers a monthly version of Replay, available to paid subscribers, which allows users to track their music habits each month.

    Deezer – My Deezer Year

Deezer provides an engaging yearly roundup called “My Deezer Year.” It highlights top songs, genres, albums, and artists, but with a unique twist. Users can opt to be “roasted” or “hyped up” based on their music preferences. Additionally, Deezer includes a fun quiz that tests how well friends and family know your music taste, making it a more interactive experience.

    YouTube Music – Recap

YouTube Music’s “Recap” feature offers a personalized and interactive breakdown of your listening habits. It covers your top five artists, songs, genres, albums, and playlists, as well as your longest listening streak and total minutes listened throughout the year.

This feature is accessible through the mobile app, giving users an easy way to relive their musical highlights.

    Duolingo – Year in Review

Not limited to music, other platforms like Duolingo have also adopted the year-in-review concept. Duolingo’s “Year in Review” offers users insights into their language learning journey, including total XP earned, longest streak, and a comparison of their progress against other users. The feature provides a fun way to track growth and see how you stack up in the Duolingo community.

    Netflix – Kapwing Tool

Though Netflix doesn’t have an official year-end recap feature, users can rely on third-party tools like Kapwing to analyze their viewing history. By importing your Netflix data, Kapwing offers detailed insights such as total minutes watched, your most binge-watched shows, and significant binge days (like when an entire season was watched in one sitting). This tool gives users a fun way to reflect on their Netflix habits.

    Reddit – Reddit Recap

Reddit Recap provides an overview of your activity on the platform throughout the year. Users can review their most upvoted posts, total time spent on Reddit, and frequent subreddits visited. It also highlights any awards received and provides a summary of your yearly engagement, offering a detailed breakdown of your interactions on the platform.

    TikTok – Wrapped for TikTok

TikTok no longer offers an official year-in-review feature, but third-party tools like “Wrapped for TikTok” allow users to track their engagement. By downloading your TikTok data and uploading it to this tool, you can view insights such as total videos watched, total watch time, and engagement levels, including fun categories like “Interaction Monster.” It’s a great way to revisit your TikTok activity over the past year.

As the year ends, more platforms might join in with their own versions of personalized wrap-ups. It’s clear that Spotify Wrapped has inspired many others to share the joy of reflecting on the past year.
