Belgian electronic duo Soulwax has announced their first studio album in seven years. Titled All Systems Are Lying, the new record will be released on October 17 through Deewee and Because Music.

Brothers David and Stephen Dewaele, who make up Soulwax, also released two new songs from the album: the title track and “Run Free.” Both are now available to stream.

In a press statement, the Dewaele brothers described the album as “a rock album made without any electric guitars.” They explained their creative approach, saying, “We wanted to capture the feeling of a band playing electronic instruments—live, loud and loose. This record is the result of that experiment.”

All Systems Are Lying is the follow-up to Soulwax’s 2018 album Essential. The upcoming release includes 14 tracks, with titles such as “New Earth Time,” “Polaris,” and “Idiots in Love.”

In addition to their work as Soulwax, the Dewaeles perform under the name 2manydjs and run the record label Deewee. The label has recently released music by Charlotte Adigéry, Bolis Pupul, and Marie Davidson.
