Snoop Dogg is set to star in and co-produce the upcoming sci-fi movie The Last Man, directed by Luc Besson.

The movie, which is being kept under wraps, is expected to have a post-apocalyptic storyline, possibly inspired by Planet of the Apes.

Some believe the plot may even tie into Snoop’s 2009 song “Last Man Standing.”

Luc Besson, known for sci-fi hits like The Fifth Element and Lucy, is bringing his signature blend of science fiction, comedy, and action to The Last Man.

Besson previously worked with Snoop on the animated movie Arthur and the Minimoys nearly 20 years ago, where Snoop voiced a character.

The film will be produced by Virginie Besson-Silla, Luc Besson, and Death Row Pictures, with filming expected to begin in 2025. Besson expressed his excitement about working with Snoop, saying, “We just needed the right project that would excite us both, and this is it.”

Snoop also shared his admiration for Besson, citing The Professional as a major influence on his career.

This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for both Besson and Snoop, bringing together their unique talents for a highly anticipated sci-fi project.
