Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, recently teased some major developments within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, particularly concerning the SHIB Metaverse.
His comments came during a live session on X Space titled “Trust Talks #4: Are Meme Coins Here to Stay?”, hosted by Trust Wallet.
The event attracted 18,700 community members, including the Floki official account and other prominent crypto figures.
SHIB’s Commitment to Long-Term Success
During the session, Kusama addressed how Shiba Inu is differentiating itself from other meme coins in the crowded crypto space. When asked how the leadership is keeping the community engaged, Kusama emphasized the unique approach of Shiba Inu.
“We are different from the others,” he said, highlighting that SHIB isn’t just about hype. Instead, Kusama explained that the primary focus is on creating the best technology to empower the Shiba Inu network.
He shared that a year ago, SHIB declared its sovereignty, and since then, the goal has been to build the necessary technology for a self-sustaining network state.
Kusama explained that this “network state” approach positions Shiba Inu for long-term success, not just within the meme coin space but globally. He emphasized that the goal was to create something lasting, aiming to survive for not just a few years, but for the next 100 years.

While Kusama did not reveal all the details, he hinted at some significant news on the SHIB Metaverse coming soon. He teased that these developments would bring more clarity about the direction of Shiba Inu and its growing ecosystem.
Kusama’s statement about the Metaverse shows that the team is laying the groundwork for a major expansion of Shiba Inu’s presence beyond the meme coin market.
TREAT and Other Community-Focused Plans
Aside from the SHIB Metaverse news, Kusama shared that Shiba Inu is continuing to work on various innovative technologies and community-driven events.
One such project is TREAT, the newest token in the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Kusama stated that TREAT will bring real value to the community, ensuring that SHIB is not just about speculation but offers tangible utility.
