‘Severance’ Tops 2025 Emmy Nominations with Record 27 Nods

The Apple TV+ series Severance has emerged as the top contender for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, receiving a record-breaking 27 nominations.

This makes it the most nominated show of the year, ahead of other major titles like The Penguin and The White Lotus. The psychological drama, known for its unique story and striking visuals, secured nominations across nearly every major drama category.

These include Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Adam Scott, and Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Britt Lower. The show also earned multiple supporting and technical nominations.

Following close behind Severance are The Penguin, with 24 nominations, and both The Studio and The White Lotus, each receiving 23 nominations.

This year’s nominations highlight Severance’s growing reputation among critics and audiences alike. The show has been recognized in previous Emmy seasons but has now reached a new milestone, strengthening Apple TV+’s position in high-profile television production.

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 14, 2025, in Los Angeles. The event will be broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.

With its impressive number of nominations, Severance is expected to play a central role in this year’s ceremony, setting the stage for a potentially historic night.
