Apple revealed its new design language called “Liquid Glass” during the WWDC 2025 event. This design will be a key part of the upcoming iOS 26 update. Apple describes Liquid Glass as “expressive” and sleek. But Samsung did not wait long to poke fun at Apple’s changes.
While Apple introduced the new look, Samsung took to Twitter to comment. Samsung noted that its own One UI 7 redesign, released earlier this year, also uses glass and translucent elements. However, Samsung pointed out that their design is different from Apple’s Liquid Glass.
Samsung also reminded people that it added some AI features before Apple. For example, Apple’s iOS 26 will support Live Translation across apps like Messages and FaceTime. Samsung first launched AI-powered translation on its Galaxy S24 last year and expanded it to more devices.
In addition, Apple Watch is only now getting AI workout features. Samsung pointed out that Galaxy Watch has had AI smart replies and sleep tracking for some time. Samsung even joked that their watch “already knows when you’re too tired to care.”
Samsung also highlighted that some Apple features, like Call Screening, have been available on Android phones for years.
This playful exchange shows how Samsung and Apple compete by comparing new features and designs.
