Samsung has been working on One UI 7, based on Android 15, and the rollout is still ongoing despite some major delays.
However, One UI 8, which is based on Android 16, is already on the horizon and will be released sooner than many had anticipated.
Reports suggest that the first beta of One UI 8 will be launched in the third week of May, a bit earlier than the mid-June release date that was previously rumored.
However, this first beta will be limited in availability, only reaching select devices in specific markets. A wider rollout is expected in June, as per the latest reports.
Though it’s exciting to see One UI 8 make its way to users, it’s important to note that this doesn’t give us a clear timeline for the final version’s release.
Samsung’s One UI 7 beta arrived many months before the stable version was available, so there’s no guarantee that One UI 8 will be released quickly either.
However, because One UI 8 isn’t expected to be as major an update as One UI 7, it’s possible that the final version could arrive sooner.
Additionally, with Google’s Android 16 expected to be released by the end of June, there’s hope that Samsung’s rollout won’t take as long.
What are your thoughts on the early release of One UI 8? Are you excited to try it out soon?
