During its Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung gave a sneak peek of its highly anticipated tri-fold smartphone, set to compete with Huawei’s Mate XT.
The brief teaser appeared alongside announcements for the Galaxy S25 series, the Project Moohan XR headset, and upcoming smart glasses.
The tri-fold device is expected to feature a Z-style folding mechanism, similar to Huawei’s Mate XT. Samsung Display previously showcased two tri-fold concepts:

Rumors suggest Samsung plans a limited production run of 200,000 units, with the launch scheduled for Q3 2025 (July–September). This aligns with Samsung’s annual foldable launch event.
As Samsung’s most complex foldable yet, the tri-fold smartphone is anticipated to be its most expensive device in this category. Pricing details remain under wraps, but it’s expected to surpass the cost of the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
