New leaks have revealed more details about Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones—the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7—just weeks before their official launch on July 9.
According to a report from Setsuna Digital on Weibo, both devices will feature slimmer bodies and improved displays while keeping performance top-tier.
Galaxy Z Fold 7: Thinner and Lighter Than Ever
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will include the Snapdragon 8 Elite “for Galaxy” chipset. When unfolded, the device is just 4.2mm thick, and 8.9mm when folded—making it one of the slimmest foldables yet. It weighs just 215g.
The screens are also larger:
- 6.5-inch outer display
- 8-inch inner foldable display
A 10MP selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view is also mentioned, likely replacing the under-display camera used in earlier models.
Galaxy Z Flip 7: Bigger Battery, Brighter Display
The Flip 7 will also get slimmer, measuring 13.7mm closed and 6.5mm unfolded, down from 14.9mm on the Flip 6. However, the weight slightly increases to 188g.
The new screens include:
- 4.1-inch external display (slightly larger than Motorola Razr’s)
- 6.9-inch internal display
- 2,600 nits peak brightness on both screens
Battery capacity also gets a boost, now at 4,300 mAh, up from 4,000 mAh.
Pre-Order and Perks
Samsung is now taking reservations for both foldables on its official website. Customers who sign up will get:
- $50 credit
- 3x Samsung Rewards points
