Samsung is preparing to integrate Perplexity AI into its upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, giving Bixby the ability to answer complex questions and perform advanced tasks. The Galaxy S26 is expected in 2026.

The partnership between Samsung and Perplexity has been in development since mid-2025. Samsung previously offered free Perplexity Pro subscriptions to Galaxy phone, tablet, and TV users. These promotions now make sense as a step toward full integration of Perplexity into Samsung devices.

Perplexity will power Bixby, helping users with tasks like adjusting phone settings, using advanced features, or finding information quickly. Early tests on the Galaxy S25 beta showed Bixby citing Perplexity as a source for detailed answers, such as personalized weather recommendations.

Samsung is also working with Google AI tools. Its Gemini Nano image generation model will provide creative features, like remixing photos and creating slideshows, on Samsung TVs starting in 2026. This complements Perplexity’s practical, research-based capabilities.

The combination of Perplexity and Galaxy AI tools aims to make Samsung phones easier to use while enhancing productivity. It could allow users to ask complex, layered requests, such as removing background noise from videos or managing deep customization options.

It is not yet clear whether advanced Perplexity features on the Galaxy S26 will require a subscription, work offline, or how Gemini will integrate into the mobile AI experience. Samsung’s ongoing collaboration with both AI partners suggests a strong focus on smarter, more capable devices.
