Rockstar Seeks Perfection, But GTA 6 Could Still Slip, Says Take-Two

Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still on track for a fall 2025 release.

However, CEO Strauss Zelnick acknowledges that while confidence is high, delays are always a possibility.

“We believe that arrogance is the enemy of continued success,” Zelnick said during a Q&A session following Take-Two’s latest financial report.

He emphasized Rockstar’s dedication to perfection but also recognized the competition: “We run scared. We’re looking over our shoulder. Our competitors are not asleep.”

Zelnick has consistently praised Rockstar’s pursuit of excellence, previously stating that the goal is to create “an experience that no one has seen before.” With GTA 6 being one of the most anticipated games of all time, expectations are sky-high.

While GTA 6 may not literally be “perfect,” Rockstar’s track record suggests they are aiming for an industry-defining experience.

Fans will just have to wait and see if the studio delivers—or if they’ll need a bit more time to get it just right.
