BTS leader Kim Namjoon, aka RM, is rumored to return to the popular Korean variety show ‘Problematic Men’ after his military discharge on June 10, 2025.
The show is set to premiere its new season on June 23, with a unique mathematics-based theme, sparking excitement among fans about RM’s potential participation.
RM was an original cast member of ‘Problematic Men’ in 2015, quickly becoming a fan favorite due to his high IQ and sharp wit. However, he left the show in 2016 because of scheduling conflicts with BTS activities.
Despite this, the cast fondly remembered him, even mentioning his contribution during the show’s final season in 2020. Adding to speculation, RM was recently seen at a party hosted by Jun Hyun Moo, a current cast member.
RM enlisted in the military in December 2023 and will complete his 18-month service on June 10, 2025. If he rejoins the show, it will mark his first television appearance after military discharge.
The upcoming season of ‘Problematic Men’ will feature returning members Jun Hyun Moo and EXO’s Suho, alongside new cast members Jung Seung Je, Bae Sung Jae, John Park, and Kim Gyu Min. RM’s intellect and love for brainy challenges make him an ideal fit for the show’s mathematics theme.
Alongside this, RM recently made history by becoming the first K-pop solo artist to win the Favorite K-Pop Artist award at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), further solidifying his influence in the music world.
Fans eagerly await the possibility of RM’s TV comeback, celebrating both his achievements and his return to the spotlight after military service.
